Casa IFE: A Modern Oasis in Palermo, Italy
Casa IFE, a modern apartment located in Palermo, Italy, has recently been redesigned by La Leta Architettura. Located on the ninth floor, it offers spectacular views of the city and sea.
The space offers a functional program requested by the clients, including a large living room, an eat-in kitchen, two large bedrooms (one of which has a walk-in closet and bathroom), Carrara marble flooring, oak planking wood, and two lacquered wood storage elements. The master bedroom features a wooden volume that contains a large walk-in closet. Through the use of noble materials such as wood and stone, tailored spaces have been created that characterize the rooms of the house.

Observe the City & Sea from the Ninth Floor From the ninth floor of IFE, one can take in the city and the sea in the background. To fulfill the client’s functional program, the space of the house was completely reorganized. This included a large living room, an eat-in kitchen, two large rooms (one with a walk-in closet and bathroom).
Scanning Materials to Compose Rooms
Carrara marble divides the kitchen from the living room in the entrance, and together with oak planking wood, it forms a container volume which holds the services and the master bedroom. This blockboard volume also defines the background of the convivial environment, punctuated by two lacquered wood storage elements with rigorous shapes that mark the deambulation of the house.
