Bonds Types in the Wall Construction done with Brick Masonry
The importance of the mortar filling that goes between layers of bricks is huge -not only for the connection it make but also for the appearance of the wall. The mortar grooves in between when the bricks are laid one next to another and in layers in the wall. The material which is used the most  for these bricks bonds in masonry is cement mortar but there are also used and lime mortar and mud mortar. There are many types of bonds all described in the link bellow: Stretcher bond, Header bond, English bond, Flemish bond, Facing bond, Dutch bond, English cross bond, Brick on edge bond, Raking bond, Zigzag bond, Garden wall bond an others.
