This modern family home has not always looked like this. Ever since it was originally built as a dry cleaning building, the closure of the business and the intervention of the architect Carles Enrich made it take the look it has today. This unique project is located in the neighborhood of Gracia in the city of Barcelona, Spain and its history has not gone unnoticed by anyone. This is the case especially for those who have lived in that area for years, who have seen with their own eyes the transformation that was taken on that old laundry of the past.
The house has an area of 145 square meters and was built in 2013. At first glance it may appear to be a new building, but it is much older than it seems. The architect who did the remodeling, thought of a plan that would allow the inhabitants live in an organized way around a patio, a reason why this area became the center of the whole house. Every area at the rest of house have visual contact with this patio. Throughout the rehabilitation process, the original materials were recovered and reused so that they did not lose all the history that had accumulated over the years.
