It’s on a hill in the park of the OMI International Arts Center in New York State, that the architect Alex Schweder and artist Ward Shelley built the unusual house they designed together. Their project, entitled ReActor, is a real architectural feat : the building simply sits on a wide concrete column. As a result, the house, built as a rectangular block, constantly reacts to the movements of its inhabitants and to the blowing wind. The structure can not only rotate 360 ??degrees on the central cylinder, but also swing from top to bottom depending on the weights moving inside.
